Prosecutors Release Video Of Nancy Garrido Luring Girls Into Van

Watch at your own risk: The prosecutor in the Jaycee Dugard case has released disturbing snippets of video that show Nancy Garrido luring a young girl into their van and urging her to do splits on camera. While in jail Garrido said she made 10 to 20 of these videos for her husband Phillip Garrido, who’s been convicted of rape and kidnapping.

The D.A. also released a report that detailed many failures by law enforcement that allowed Philip Garrido to keep Dugard captive for 18 years while he was on parole for a previous kidnapping and rape. The report says Garrido never should have been released from prison and parole agents didn’t adequately search his property. There were also numerous reasons his parole should have been revoked, including contacting one of his previous victims and testing positive for methamphetamine. The D.A. says he hopes the report will help develop better methods of supervising and detecting predators … starting with authorities not being wildly negligent.
