Therese Patricia Okoumou became known for her climb up the Statue of Liberty, in protest against the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant families at the United States-Mexico border. But outside of that daring act on July 4th 2018, Okoumou has spent several years involved in activism and protests against injustice in New York City and around the world. We chatted with her about what continues to drive her passion for activism, the crisis of the current political moment, and the power of outrage.
