Approximately 154 million Americans shopped during Thanksgiving weekend last year, a statistic the Chicago Tribune helpfully points out denotes a downward trend when it comes to Black Friday sales. Though some people still love to line up outside the mall after Thanksgiving dinner to score deals, others have figured out you can actually get better sale prices later on in the season, or you can just order shit online and hope no one steals your packages.
Personally, I don’t celebrate Christmas and I hate buying people presents, so Black Friday means nothing to me. Anyone else have any thoughts? Will we save J. Crew? Who out there is going to take the President up on his discounted merchandise today?
