Obamas Meet Privately With Gabrielle Giffords

On Friday President Obama and Michelle Obama met with Gabrielle Giffords for about 10 minutes while they were in Cape Canaveral, Florida for the now-delayed space shuttle launch. A White House official says the President first greeted Mark Kelly, who said, “I bet you were hoping to see a rocket launch today.” Obama responded, “We were hoping to see you.” Giffords updated the Obamas on Giffords condition before they all went to see her in an off-camera meeting.
