NYT Films Great Actors Kissing For Some Reason (We're Not Complaining)

The New York Times Magazine knows how much the Internet is into random strangers kissing, so the publication recruited 18 actors, most of whom didn’t know each other, to kiss each other in dramatic, slow motion fashion. The results are silly, stunning and sometimes sexy.

The project was produced by NYT Magazine‘s director of photography Kathy Ryan for its annual Great Performers Issue. The tagline: “This year’s best actors pair up in a series of intimate encounters.” Each video tells a story meant to show the power of a speechless encounter. Director Elaine Constantine told ET:

“These actors, in most cases, didn’t know each other. And I think in a way it was a good thing that they didn’t know each other because I suppose the excitement of those meetings were what created the ease of getting into something so intimate.”

Yeah, this playful kiss between Rosario Dawson and Jenny Slate is cute.

In this one, Kristen Stewart plays a fan who’s so moved by Chadwick Boseman’s performance that she bumrushes the stage and steals a kiss.
