Nicki Minaj's Brother Charged With Raping a Child

Nicki Minaj’s 37-year-old brother is being charged with raping a 12-year-old, according to reports.

Jelani Maraj appeared in a Long Island court and was released from Nassau County jail after posting $100,000 in bail.

Newsday reports:

Jelani Maraj, 37, of Baldwin, was arraigned Thursday on first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, according to online court and jail records. The child is 12, according to the source.

Page Six references Nicki Minaj’s contributions to her brother’s wedding earlier this year, writing:

The Nassau County district attorney did not reveal any information about the case.

Maraj was married to Jacqueline Robinson at the Coral House on Milburn Lake in Baldwin, NY, this past August.

His pop-star sister paid about $30,000 for the wedding hall, which hosted 200 guests.
