NEW CAT ALERT: First American Baby 'Liligers' Born at Oklahoma Zoo

The good people The Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma have been very hard at work inventing new large cats for America. Praises be upon them for their blessed work; they’ve recently come up with some liligers, which are three-quarters lion and one-quarter tiger. This is assuredly the most fun anyone has ever had with a fractions problem.

According to the zoo’s entertainment director — who goes by JOE EXOTIC, I kid you not — the three liliger cubs were born around Thanksgiving. It is difficult to breed ligers, Mr. Exotic affirms, although it’s not impossible: the liger, that feline agglomeration of BIG-CUTE, is not sterile, as was previously thought. Six years ago, the zoo produced the world’s first tiliger (3 parts tiger to one part lion).

According to ABC, the liligers may become the biggest cats in existence. One day they will weigh 800 pounds, and they will likely not want to play with you at all.
