Mom Who Dressed Daughter In Pretty Woman Hooker Ensemble Says It Was 'Comical'

Whether you’re completely appalled by the pageant mom who dressed her daughter like a hooker or you’re one of the viewers salivating for new episodes (that begins tonight!), you may be intrigued by Good Morning America‘s package on the show.

They previewed the upcoming season, attempted to trick little girls into saying they hated pageant life, and spoke to the mom who modeled her daughter after Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman, who maintains she “had no idea that it would be blown that far out of proportion.” She insists it was all in jest, saying, “The outfit was not sexy. It was tacky and hideous, it was comical. It was nothing more than a costume.” We’ll be the judge of that.
