Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter Have Been Cast in the All-Woman Ocean's 11 Reboot

The all-woman Ocean’s 11 reboot that may or may not be entitled Ocean’s Ocho just added two big names to a cast currently led by Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, which means there are either four or seven women left to join the heist.

ComingSoon.net reports Thursday that Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter have officially joined the untitled film (though not the women I expected, I’m happy regardless), which they describe as a “continuation of the George Clooney-led films, with Bullock playing Danny Ocean’s ex-con sister.”

They write:

With help from her right-hand woman (Blanchett, playing the equivalent of Brad Pitt’s Rusty), she’ll form a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.

A necklace! Danny Ocean and his boys stole millions of dollars in cash from an impossible-to-crack safe inside the most well-secured casino in Vegas, and the women will steal...a single necklace...from a ball.

It’s a good thing this cast is looking so great, because that (admittedly early) plot description gets a big ol’ YIKES!
