Michele Bachmann Says She And Palin Are Totally Friends

Today on Good Morning America, George Stephanopoulos did his darnedest to get Michele Bachmann to say mean things about Sarah Palin. She did not oblige.

Instead, she said sort of nonsensical things, like “there’s enough room for a lot of contenders” on the Republican side in 2012. Which, yeah, but the funny thing about presidential elections is that only one person can win. Bachmann’s probably smart to keep calling Palin her friend and refrain from comparing herself to the other Republican hopefuls at this relatively early stage — but at some point, the claws are going to have to come out. I kind of would have liked to see them in response to this inanity, courtesy of Stephanopoulos: “One solution to the empty nest is to run for President.”
