Melissa McCarthy Launches Website for Clothing Line

Just in time for last-minute holiday shopping, Melissa McCarthy has launched the e-commerce site for her clothing line, Seven7. The actress’s holiday collection features an assortment of clothing, from casual designs to more dressed-up pieces.

“I am so proud to finally offer my collection on MelissaMcCarthy.com,” the 45-year-old actress told Women’s Wear Daily. “I am a big fan of shopping online. I love trying something on in the comfort of my own home and the easy return policy is a lifesaver. I’m excited to have a way to speak directly with my customer and offer her pieces that are not available at other retail sites. I hope to create a place where we can all celebrate fashion and just how amazing women truly are.”

In August, McCarthy began selling her designs through retailers such as Nordstrom, Macy’s, HSN and Lane Bryant. The collection, which features woven blouses, denim, t-shirts, dresses, activewear and sweaters, is available in sizes 4 to 28, at a higher-than-average price point. A boyfriend cardigan runs at $129, while a studded cape is priced at $139.

On her website, McCarthy says she wants “to help women lose ‘the uniform’ and discover their own personal style.” Before her foray into acting, McCarthy had attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she studied fashion design.
