Man Swallowed Whole by Tidal Wave of Adorable Bunnies

The island of Ōkunoshima, also known as Rabbit Island, is densely populated by feral rabbits, similar to the various cat islands of Japan, but you know. With bunnies instead. Please tell me there’s a baby goat island SOMEWHERE.

Apparently, Ōkunoshima was the secret location of a bigass poison manufacturing plant for mustard gas and tear gas that was used in China during World War II. Obviously the island has long since been repurposed, having demolished the plants, and now there is a Poison Gas Museum to educate people of the risks of chemical warfare. Lotta mixed feelings here. On the one hand, war atrocities were mass produced on Rabbit Island. On the other hand, cute rabbits. Yeesh.
