Madonna can barely stay in her seat for the first five minutes of Carpool Karaoke, voguing and twerking all over the damn place. She settles down after trashing James Corden’s flannel shirt.
It’s odd that Madonna criticizes that shirt for looking like it’s from Seattle in the ‘90s, because that’s the look right now and she’s wearing fishnets under jeans, but everyone has their style preferences. Anyway, here’s the big news: Madonna and Michael Jackson made out once.
At about the ten-minute mark, Corden says, “You were friends with Michael Jackson. What was that like?”
To which Madonna responds, “So you want me to kiss and tell then, don’t you?” Corden has a brief freak-out, asking over and over if they kissed as she responds in the affirmative. The story unfolds:
Corden: You and Michael Jackson—
Madonna: I mean, baby I’ve been around.
C: Full French kissing?
M: Tongue to mouth kissing.
C: I did not know that.
M: Well, I haven’t had the chance to talk about it, no one ever asks me.
C: So, hang on—who made the first move? You or Michael Jackson? Who leans in?
M: Well, I did. he was quite shy. However, he was a willing accomplice.
Madonna says she got Michael Jackson to loosen up with a glass of Chardonnay, which makes it sound like two sorority girls experimenting during Rush Week. Madonna also tries to steal James Corden from his wife, Julia, saying, “I think the best thing in the world is to be married to someone who’s funny.” Okay, if you say so!
