Los Angeles D.A. Reviewing Anthony Anderson Sexual Assault Allegation

Latest

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is looking into a sexual assault allegation made against Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, Variety reports.

In July, the Blast reported that a woman filed a police report against Anderson several months ago, accusing him of sexually assaulting her in 2017. The woman claimed that she met Anderson at a work event and then followed up with another meeting to discuss opportunities. She claimed that he assaulted her at the second meeting.

Anderson’s representative told the Los Angeles Times that the actor “unequivocally disputes the claim” against him, and that police have not reached out to him regarding the case.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department handed the case over to the district attorney’s office for review. The office is reviewing several other high-profile sexual assault cases, including an allegation against Steven Seagal and six against Harvey Weinstein.
