Lisa Vanderpump Is Leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Probably Because It Sucks Now

Lisa Vanderpump—bajillionaire restauranteur, longtime California resident who inexplicably continues to speak with an English accent, and namesake of the best reality TV show, Vanderpump Rules—will be leaving the Bravo show that made her famous: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Vanderpump was one of the first, joining the show for its debut season in 2010. She will appear throughout 2019’s Season 9 and then, well, that’s it, folks.

E! confirmed the recent rumor after a production “source” revealed, “Lisa will appear in the majority of episodes this season. She has not been filming at every event, but fans can expect to see her throughout. The show will return to Bravo in early 2019.”

Another “source” told E!:

“Lisa has only filmed on a few occasions during the beginning of filming this season, and has been absent the remainder of the time. She has been refusing to film and…her interactions with the ladies have been solely negative. Lisa has still not returned to filming and as of now has no plan to. It’s too far gone, and Lisa agrees that she shouldn’t return at this point.”

And another (where do they get these spies?) just offered, “The rest of the cast is over her.” Yikes.

If you’ve been following the drama, you know that Vanderpump’s departure was all but written in stone: She didn’t attend Camille Grammer’s wedding, Jax Taylor actually spilled the beans that she wasn’t going to go back to RHOBH a few days ago and she alluded to her leave last month, when she told E!, “I have done 320 episodes of reality television. This year, there were certain things that felt very different to me. I’m not having a go at anybody, I never do, because it’s not who I want to be, it’s not who I want to be. I want to focus on things for the greater good and carry on doing what we’re doing and try to enjoy my life.”

This is certainly the end of an era, but it’s no time to mourn. The Real Housewives franchise has been slacking for a minute now, and once again: Vanderpump Rules is still in our lives. It’s far superior! That’s fact!

Oh, and she’s opening a “cocktail garden” in Las Vegas, which she announced via the Daily Mail the same second this news broke. Savvy.
