Liquid Glitter iPhone Cases Sold at Victoria's Secret, Henri Bendel Recalled Due to Risk of Chemical Burns

Please stop staring into your liquid glitter iPhone case for a moment, because I have some news: You should probably check and make sure your liquid glitter iPhone case has not been recalled due to the risk of chemical burns.

ABC News reports the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of several models of iPhone case made by the company MixBin, “because they can leak liquid and glitter and cause skin irritation and burns to consumers.” It adds up to hundreds of thousands of cases.

“One person reported some permanent scarring, another reporting burns and swelling to her face leg and other body parts,” said CPSC spokesperson Patty Davis. Yikes!!! All told 24 people have been affected, 19 in the US. “If you do have these, we urge you to act quickly, get these out of your home, contact MixBin electronics, they will give you a full refund,” added Davis, who is clearly not fucking around with this.

MixBin supplies numerous other retailers, so some of the models were sold at Amazon, Nordstrom Rack, Tory Burch, Victoria’s Secret, and Henri Bendel, between October 2015 and June 2017. The Consumer Products Safety Commission has a full list of recalled models, complete with photos, and you can contact MixBin for a reimbursement.

But how can they reimburse our lost trust in the otherwise delightful liquid glitter?
