Let's All Paint Our Sweatshirts

The year is 1990. American has just stormed into Iraq and The Simpsons has just premiered on Fox. Meanwhile, Totally Tulip, purveyor of fine sweatshirt paints, is brainwashing American daughters into ruining their brand new sweatshirts.

It’s easy to look at this ad for sweatshirt paint and shudder, but maybe we ought to give sweatshirt painting a second chance. I mean, the economy still sucks. Maybe instead of buying new puffy sweatshirts, we should all just jazz up our old ones with what we hope will be a proportional paint unicorn but what will really end up looking like an asymmetrical horseshoe crab. Art is subjective, anyway.
