Just as Border Patrol Agent Is Charged With Killing 4 Women, ICE Official Is Charged With Felony Sodomy and Incest

Latest

Less than a day after news broke that a Border Patrol agent has been apprehended and charged with murdering four women in Laredo, Texas, news has broken that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was apprehended and charged with ten felony counts of sodomy and one of incest in Medford, Oregon. Officials have stated that the charges against ICE officer Blake V. Northway have nothing to do with his role at ICE; ICE’s public affairs officer Tanya Roman has said in a statement that the agency “does not tolerate those who violate the law,” and that “ICE will continue to cooperate until this case has been resolved.” Northway has been put on leave. His bond is set at $1 million.

As for suspected serial killer and Border Patrol agent Juan David Ortiz, a spokesperson for the Webb County sheriff’s office Eduardo Chapa claims that Ortiz has confessed to murdering four women within the span of two weeks in early September. All of the victims are believed to have been sex workers; a fifth woman was able to escape and notified the police. Ortiz was reportedly found hiding in a truck in a hotel parking lot by state troopers late Friday night. He had worked as an intel supervisor and was with Border Patrol for ten years. Chapa has told CNN that investigators are not ruling out the possibility of more victims.
