Jon Kyl Can’t Believe You Took Jon Kyl Seriously

After very recently claiming that "well over 90 percent" of what Planned Parenthood does is to provide abortions, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl would like to back pedal for a while, if that's all right with everyone:

This afternoon, CNN brought on Planned Parenthood's Judy Tabar to discuss his comment. During the interview, CNN anchor Don Lemon relayed a statement from Kyl's office walking back the comment, claiming the statement was not meant to be "factual":

LEMON: We did call his office trying to ask what he was talking about there. And I just want to give it you verbatim here. It says, 'his remark was not intended to be a factual statement, but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, a organization that receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding, does subsidize abortions.'

Ohhhh! Okay. I get it now. I was under this weird assumption that statements made by Kyl would be researched and factual, as they all go directly into the Congressional Record but I completely forgot that none of what is said on the Senate floor is meant to be taken seriously.

Thanks for the refresher course, Kyl.

How do any of these GOP senators and congressmen have wives & daughters? Are there houses just full of loathing, resentment and hate? I sure as shit know that if I was advocating these anti-woman views, my mom, sister, grandma and girlfriend would be outraged. And I definitely would NOT be getting laid for a looooooooooong time.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when these men come home to their wives after using women's rights as a wedge political tool. They seriously must be the weakest or most suffering women on the planet.
