Jill Abramson Is First Woman To Lead New York Times

Jill Abramson replaces Bill Keller as executive editor of The New York Times. Of being the first woman to hold the top position, Abramson said, "It's meaningful to me...You stand on the shoulders of those who came before you."

Yay, Jill Abramson!

Did anyone else find the NYTimes photo choice interesting? The headline reads "Abramson Named Top Editor at The Times," and the image shows some of the staff (and at least four women, including Abramson) applauding Bill Keller, the outgoing executive editor.
