It is stressful to be alive. Rent is expensive. The subway is down. The anthropocene. Help there is a bug. Jezebel tried it and learned an incredible lesson about friendship and the body’s response to various foods.

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the CBD stuff is approaching “woo levels” as far as the claims that people make about it (not this video specifically, but just in general). People claim it cures everything, from cancer to epilepsy and skin conditions and auto immune disorders to parasites and depression and anxiety. I see it recommended in “natural” and “holistic” Facebook groups as a solution to everything, when really it will be something the person should see the doctor about (tumors, severe bouts of mental illness, etc.). I’m a heavy cannabis user and I’m not totally writing off any potential benefits CBD might have, because I do believe it probably does have some, especially in some epileptic disorders, but I also feel like I see it recommended CONSTANTLY (along with MLM essential oils) as some kind of miracle cure all for hundreds of other ailments, and any time I see that, I’m skeptical.
