Not that it really needed extrapolation, but on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night, Jessica Chastain briefly explained what she was thinking in the now-infamous shot of the audience at the Golden Globes reacting to Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s Bill Cosby joke.

“I probably was like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe they went there,'” Chastain told Kimmel of her shocked face. She also revealed that because she was seated literally right next to the stage, she couldn’t really get drunk because she was worried the cameras would catch her constantly drinking.
