How Dare You Break The Heart of Stamos, Olsens Twins

Latest

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen recently confirmed their non-involvement with Full House reboot, Fuller House, and Uncle Jesse is upset at the news. John Stamos first tweeted, “#heartbroken,” but then took a civil approach: “I understand they’re in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be dissapointed [sic] with our reunion and spin off!!”

The 13-episode series, premiering next year on Netflix, will kick off with a one-hour reunion and continue as a spin-off show, centering on oldest sister DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron) and her three children. According to People, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have been confirmed to be in the series. Dave Coulier is also set to return along with Stamos, while Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin are still in discussion.

Here is the Grecian god’s tweet that caused a tiny tear to form in my eye:

Stamos then took to Facebook to elaborate further.

Just so you reporters know, this is not a money gig for any of us, quite the opposite. We want to give the fans what they deserve for supporting us for so many years. We all just want to have fun, do it in a classy way on Netflix and have a good time. Sad that a few don’t share the rest of the cast’s opinion. I can only wish them the best.

When news of the reboot first broke, Mary Kate and Ashley were quoted as saying they hadn’t been notified of the project. Stamos had replied to their claim, calling it “bullshit.”

While the twins have not acted in years and seem to be solely focusing on their fashion line, health reasons may have played a factor in the decision. It has been recently reported that Ashley Olsen is having difficulty dealing with her Lyme disease.

Stamos will also star in the new fall sitcom, “Grandfathered.”
