Hillary Clinton Doc Cancelled After Everyone Agrees It Was a Bad Idea

Latest

CNN’s buzzed-about Hillary Clinton documentary is no longer on the network’s docket- thanks to everyone agreeing that making a documentary about a living, active politician might make a lot of people mad.

According to USAToday, the Clinton doc’s award-winning filmmaker scrapped the project because no one would work with him on it — not Hillary Clinton’s people, not Republicans, not Michael Bay. Nobody.

[Film director Charles] Ferguson specifically cited being “interrogated” by Clinton aide Nick Merrill. He also said that Philippe Reines, a longtime Clinton adviser, “contacted various people at CNN, interrogated them and expressed concern about alleged conflicts of interest generated because my film was a for-profit endeavor.”
The filmmaker also cited the RNC’s decision to withhold CNN as a potential debate sponsor in 2016 if it went ahead with the project.

I’m not that disappointed that CNN’s Hillary doc is no more; there’s already been a film made that’s loosely based on Hillary Clinton’s life. It’s called Wolverine and Hugh Jackman’s great in it.
