Here's a Labor Day Open Thread with Mother Jones, 'The Most Dangerous Woman in America'

A very happy Labor Day open thread to you from Mary Harris Jones, better known as Mother Jones, one of the greatest figures in all of American history, who organized and rallied thousands of railroad workers, garment workers, textile workers, steel workers and miners, and whose enemies dubbed her “a notorious and troublesome woman” and “the most dangerous woman in America.” When once introduced as a “humanitarian,” Jones snapped, “I’m not a humanitarian, I’m a hell-raiser.” May we draw strength and inspiration from her tireless badassery.

Feminist Kittenjoy [is back after a long hiatus]

Hey friends! I missed SNS so am thrilled to see a Monday night edition.

I have a question about weight loss. Has anyone here had success losing a significant amount of weight (my goal is to lose 100 lbs) and keeping it off? How did you do it? I hate dieting and don’t believe following a strict set of rules is sustainable but I’m also having trouble with the old “just eat healthy and exercise more” (my anxiety is a big barrier for both of those). Tips? Suggestions? Ideas?
