Grooming For A Good Cause

A 72-year-old man from Bloomfield, Indiana, raised $1,600 for charity using only his long, bushy eyebrows.

Until very recently, Si Burgher had eyebrows so long he would brush them each morning, but after friends at the Rotary Club began to volunteer money to trim his bushy brows, Burgher realized he could put his facial mane to good use. Burgher received donations of $100 each for a chance to snip away at his eyebrows, the money going to Rotary International’s PolioPlus. Burgher’s wife is pleased with his new, hairless look: “beneath the eyebrows is a really handsome man. He looks like a normal person. I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.” [AP & Yahoo News]
