On the second day of testimony by Andrea Constand who, after a decade, finally told her story alleging that she was drugged, temporarily paralyzed, and raped by sinister pudding man Bill Cosby–now accused of rape by over fifty women–Gloria Allred’s cell phone went off. It’s not funny, but still, whoopsieees.

Gloria Allred, celebrity feminist lawyer known for representing clients who allege sexual assault against powerful men (including Bill Cosby) explained her situation to the The New York Post from a bench outside the courtroom:

It was off and it rang. I have no idea how it happened. This young man was just trying to help me figure it out. I don’t know who it was. I don’t give out my number and I never answer it anyway, you know that.

Today Cosby accuser Constand was cross-examined by Cosby’s lawyers, now having been on the stand for nine hours which the New York Times has described as “grueling.” See Jezebel’s firsthand coverage of the case below.

This sucks. Yea I wish she was more cautious but it seems like a trivial reason though... am I wrong, can someone in law explain this to me?
