It's kind of genius because you spend a lot of time looking at it just trying to figure out wtf it's trying to say.
As far as I can tell, the guy is depressed to the point of suicidal ideation because his girl doesn't love him for him, just because she's angling for some seamless stockings.
But then the narrator tells him to just buy her some and everything will be OK, though I'm thrown by the phrase 'for pretty's sake'. Never heard it before. Wasn't she pretty before?
