Dylann Roof Allowed to Buy Gun Due to a Background Check Failure

The FBI has just announced that Dylann Roof was allowed to purchase the .45-caliber handgun he used to shoot and kill nine members of the Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC last month due to a “background check failure.”

Reports MSNBC:

Roof had previously acknowledged previous drug possession, according to the FBI.
“We are all sick this happened,” said the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey. “We wish we could turn back time.”
