Dress Means No

Berlin, Aug 13: A woman attends the Berlin 'SlutWalk,' which organizers described as a demonstration against those who blame the victims of sex crimes. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I have a semantic problem with the phrase "slut walk". My definition of slut has never in any way been associated with the definition of promiscuity. I don't like to call girls who participate in these walks as sluts, because I don't believe they are. I define a slut as somone who is sexually immoral and slovenly. You know who else I think are sexually immoral and slovenly? Rapists.

When I was a young adult, I wanted the freedom to express my sexuality and dress how I wanted without being branded a "slut". I didn't ask for much, I just wanted little things, like a high five from my dad when I tell him about a new boyfriend.

I don't know, maybe I'm just old fashioned.
