Proprietor Kim Pinello talked WUSA9 about the origin story of The Galloping Grape, explaining that she opened the store in 2006 after quitting her job as an accountant. "My two passions are wine and horses," she said. "So we combined them under one roof...and now I'm surrounded by saddles and wine and who could not love this every day?"

Her customers seem to agree. Writes Nancy H. of Pittsburgh, PA on The Galloping Grape website:

"I came across your website by sheer chance and I THINK IT IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED FOR ME AND MY HORSES!!!!! You are one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Please feel free to post my emails (if you like) so new customers will see what your existing customers think of you. Anyway, THANKS AGAIN!!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY, YOU HAVE CERTAINLY MADE MINE."

NANCY, WE AGREE. Learning about this store has made my day and I wish everyone else a great one.

Can you get a DUI for drunken horse riding? Does the horse have to be drunk for you to get one? Does she sell wine for horses? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
