Don't Post Pictures of Naked People at the Gym Like This Lady Did

Dani Mathers was 2015's Playmate of the Year. She has won an award for being hot, which maybe is what made her feel qualified to decide who deserves privacy in the gym and who should be mocked for having a body unlike hers. Now she’s fired, and otherwise in trouble.

Mathers posted the photo below this week (unredacted) to her Snapchat account, and was almost immediately driven off the surface of the social media landscape by some very angry people:

Cosmopolitan says that she posted a series of videos in which she explained her “mistake,” but I don’t think she really understands what her mistake was:

I just wanted to acknowledge a photo that I accidentally posted on Snapchat earlier today and let you guys know that that was absolutely wrong, and not what I meant to do. I have chosen to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know that body shaming is wrong and that’s not what I’m about, that’s not the type of person that I am. That photo was taken to be a personal conversation with a girlfriend, and because I am new to Snapchat, I didn’t realize that I had posted it and that was a huge mistake.

Both Mathers’ Twitter account and Instagram appear to have been deleted. Now TMZ is reporting that she’s also being made invisible at L.A. Fitness and her job as a radio show guest on Heidi and Frank for L.A.’s KLOS (she is banned from the former, and fired from the latter). They’re also saying that L.A. Fitness has reported her to the cops.

That escalated quickly.
