Andrew Dice Clay impersonator Donald Trump was in Las Vegas Monday night, continuing to give America the presidential candidate we deserve. As a protester was escorted out, Trump told the crowd that in the “old days” he would’ve been “carried out on a stretcher,” adding that he wished he could punch the guy in the face.
Trump, who previously called Ted Cruz a pussy and mocked a protester for being “seriously overweight,” has steered clear of actually wishing physical violence on anybody, at least from the stage. That is, until yesterday, because clearly he’s figured out it’s not going to hurt his chances any. Trump claimed the protester had been throwing punches at the security guards, and said he wished he could “punch back:”
I love the old days, you know? You know what I hate? There’s a guy totally disruptive, throwing punches, we’re not allowed punch back anymore. I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks. [cheers, applause] I love our police. I really respect our police and they’re not getting enough. Honestly, I hate to see that. Here’s a guy throwing punches, nasty as hell, screaming and everything else when we’re talking. I mean, walking out— the guards are very gentle with him—we’re not allowed to —he’s walking out like, big high fives, smiling, laughing. I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell ya.
The New York Times reports that another man was ejected from the same rally, this one carrying a sign reading ““Veterans to Trump: End Hate Speech Against Muslims.” Trump told his security guards to “get him the hell out.”
