Disney to Make Prince Charming Movie From the POV of His Loser Brother

The great fairy-tale gold rush continues! Now Disney has snapped up the script for a live-action Prince Charming movie.

That’s according to the Hollywood Reporter. The script is by Mike Fogel, who worked with Phil Lord and Chris Miller when they did Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Details are scanty, but THR says it’s supposed to be a “revisionist take.” (Though surely not so revisionist as to challenge the idea that the entire fairy-tale canon belongs to Disney, of course.)

Meanwhile, Variety says the story isn’t from the perspective of Prince Charming, but rather his also-ran brother, who “never lived up to the family name.” Given how bland the original always seemed, Prince Fuck-Up sounds promising.
