In 2015, a video of then-eight-year-old Desmond Napoles dancing in rainbow tulle at New York City’s Pride Parade went viral. Soon after, a family friend created the Facebook page Desmond is Amazing, and Desmond’s ascent as an inspiring drag tween was solidified. Last month Desi, as his mom Wendy calls him, took us through his daily routine, and suffice to say that he knows more about makeup than some of the non-11-year-olds who work at Jezebel.
