Here we have San Francisco bookstore Adobe Books' "Women's Studies" section: all Twilight, all the time.


Adobe's phone rang and rang when I called to ask whether the Stephenie Meyer shrine was supposed to be a joke; I'm guessing it is, since Adobe's great. At least, it was back when I lived in SF and the owner organized all of the books by color.

In all fairness, I DID actually only read the Twilight books as a sort of women's study project - to figure out if they were decent at all and to read what terrible messages they were sending girls about the role of women.

Spoiler Alert: they were bad.
