Blessed Be; Oscar Isaac's Beard is Back

Here’s a trailer for an upcoming cool-looking thriller about rich crazy guy who built a sexy robot who may be lying. It looks okay! The most important takeaway from it, however, is not the film, but the fact that the film’s star Oscar Isaac’s beard is back. And after the winter we’ve had, thank God.

Oscar Isaac is the man in Hollywood most improved by the presence of a full beard. Here he is in the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, where he was so attractive looking that I almost felt bad for him, even though his character was a total dick.

Here he is, sans beard, in last year’s A Most Violent Year, or, as I like to call it, The Movie That Should Have Been About Jessica Chastain’s Character.

With a beard, in Drive:

Without a beard, in Sucker Punch.

With (possibly fake) beard, in Ex-Machina:

Based on the evidence presented, I think we can all agree that it’s in the filmgoing public’s best interest that talented actor Oscar Isaac take on film projects that require him to have a full beard, and, as such, we all should diligently aim to keep Oscar Isaac from shaving. Perhaps we can enlist sexy robots to help.
