David Fincher — director of Fight Club, Seven, The Social Network — is helming the big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel Gone Girl, and Ben Affleck has just been cast to star as Nick Dunne, the unemployed husband who becomes a suspect in the disappearance of his wife.
As you may recall (remember our book club?), Gone Girl centers around Nick and Amy Dunne:
a married couple whose relationship becomes strained after Nick loses his job and his income, leading the pair to leave their life in New York City and instead make a living in his hometown in Missouri. Things then take a turn for the worst when Amy suddenly disappears and Nick becomes a prime suspect.
If you read the book, you know that Nick is a terrible, manipulative person, but eventually you find out Amy is even worse. Reese Witherspoon is a producer on the flick, but the part of Amy has not been cast. Any suggestions?

DISCUSSION
I loved this book. I can't say who I would cast as Amy, but maybe...and I hate to say this...but Paltrow? She might be able to pull it off. Alison Brie, because I'd love to see her have a dark side, and she looks pretty innocent. But I disagree with Ben Affleck. I don't know who I would cast as Nick, but not Ben Affleck.
