Batkid Begins Trailer Will Make You Cry About Batkid Again

Remember Batkid? The leukemia patient who made the entire world cry oceans of tears and let out deafening awwwwws after his Make-a-Wish project turned San Francisco into Gotham for a day? His story was turned into a documentary called Batkid Begins, and its trailer has just been released.

The film has screened at plenty of film festivals and has been well-received, probably because all the critics were in need of a nice long public cry. The Hollywood Reporter called it “humorous and touching,” and Consequence of Sound said it’s “so overwhelmingly positive [that] it’s like swallowing a little yellow happy pill with the Bat signal on it.”

BatKid opens on June 26th. If you need another good cry after that, just wait for the upcoming feature film adaptation, which will star Julia Roberts. I’m not kidding. Why would I kid about BatKid?
