If you ever walk into a high school classroom where there’s an empty chair and a camera crew rolling, you can bet your Lunchables that Barack Obama’s in the house. Yesterday, our old buddy-in-chief B.O. dropped in on a McKinley Technology High School class in Washington, D.C. because, what the heck, somebody told him they were having a meeting, so he decided to stop by. (He loves drop-ins, and he does this a lot. We love them too! Hint hint hint hint). From the video below, he tells the classroom:
One of the things I did throughout my presidency was meet with groups of young people everywhere I went, whether it was here in the United States or when I was traveling overseas. Just to kind of hear from them find out what they’re interested in. Because I do believe that most of the problems we have are going to be solved by you.
...
Remember what I said. Don’t back down.
The responsibility is terrifying, but don’t start cutting class til November, okay?
He’ll cut them for you! Let us reminisce on Obama rolling up in his motorcade, breaking up football practices and math classes just for the hell of it, thrilling children across the land, hopefully for the rest of his days.
