The 2010 Matrix Awards, presented by New York Women in Communications at The Waldorf Astoria, brought out all the media heavy-hitters – and what will shortly be a “who wore it better” at a tabloid near you!
First, Tina, who accessorizes this Laura Ashley-ish print with a demure cardi.
Sheryl Crow‘s iteration actually varies the patterns. And they really played it up, posing together and clearly not giving a toss – in other words, the appropriate response.
Another Terrible Twosome in aggressive prints: Hoda and Kathie Lee! (Seriously, this event resembled a quilting-bee.)
They, in turn, matched with Marissa Mayer‘s trippy screensaver.
The prettiest and softest of the print brigade was Mariska Hargitay‘s grubby-looking sheath. (Yes, both grubby and pretty.)
In blinding 80s-retro, we have Ann Curry…
…and Gayle King…
…and Anne Keating, who looks like she’s torn between cutting a bitch and taking a supporting role in Working Girl 2.
And speaking of workwear! Natalie Morales looks like she pulled an expert day-to-evening!
Let us hope Katie Couric did not, because this is simultaneously dowdy and girlish and 100% odd.
And Maria Bartiromo, apparently moonlighting as my middle school’s assistant principal.
