Awkwafina Is Reportedly Going to Bridge SNL's Roughly 370-Episode Gap in Asian Woman Hosts (Now Plural)

EntertainmentTV

Saturday Night Live reportedly, mind-blowingly, hasn’t had an Asian woman host since Lucy Liu in 2000, a streak they’re finally breaking when Awkwafina hosts October 6th. That’s 18 years. Roughly 21 episodes per season. Approximately 378 episodes. Paper Magazine reports that only three other people of Asian descent total–Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, and Aziz Ansari–have hosted, ever.

Lindsay Lohan has hosted four times. Donald Trump has hosted twice.
