Pamela Anderson entering the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where Julian Assange lives

Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange have been romantically linked for some time now, which is funny because Assange has been living in London’s Ecuadorian Embassy since the country granted him political asylum back in 2012. Per a report by Glenn Greenwald, Assange may leave the embassy soon, though that may lead to him being arrested “for breaching his bail conditions.”

But wait, we don’t need details about the charges against Julian Assange or the conditions of his departure from the Ecuadorian embassy. We just need to find out whether or not Anderson and Assange are actually boyfriend/girlfriend. Because every time I see a photo of her making a dramatic entrance into or exit from the Ecuadorian embassy I wonder, are they doing it or are they just activist pals?

I have struggled to pick a side over the years, but a recent interview with Fox News of all places leads me to believe it’s the former. Said Anderson:

“He’s definitely an interesting person and there’s definitely a romantic kind of connection ‘cause it’s a romantic struggle. We have this closeness… he’s not close to people like he is to me.”

Adding credence to the theory that she and Assange are in fact doing it, Anderson revealed that she brings him vegan food “every time” she sees him. “And I see him a lot,” she said.

I mean, vegan food! That means something.

And now, some news for my mother: Robert Redford has retired from acting at the age of 80. His upcoming The Old Man and the Gun (directed by David Lowery, who is responsible the gorgeous and utterly perfect Pete’s Dragon remake) will be the last he appears in...unless, of course, he decides to start acting again...which “retired” actors do all the time.

In an interview with EW, Redford said:

“I’m getting tired of acting. I’m an impatient person, so it’s hard for me to sit around and do take after take after take. At this point in my life, age 80, it’d give me more satisfaction because I’m not dependent on anybody... So, I’m thinking of moving in that direction and not acting so much.”
