As it turns out, the person responsible for putting Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the cover of Vogue was not icy Anna "Nuclear" Wintour but flame-tressed not-so-crazy cat lady Grace Coddington.
As seen on Complex, the Financial Times reports that the magazine originally considered doing a wedding story with look-alikes, then committed to wrangling the soon-to-be bride and groom themselves.

Quoth Coddington: "I do think Kim Kardashian represents this moment in our culture. I'm fascinated by her, in the same way I'm fascinated by the people I see on the street or the subway."
