While we hear a lot about post-partum depression these days, women also experience bouts of depression during pregnancy. A new study of 50,000 pregnant women found the number one source of emotional distress during pregnancy is a bad relationship with their partner. Illness, work issues, and trouble with alcohol in the year before pregnancy didn’t help, but women in unhappy relationships were still the most likely to be depressed.
