Italian Women Protest Silvio Burlusconi

Latest

Armed with signs that read “Enough!” and “If not now, when?”, thousands of citizens participated in coordinated anti-Berlusconi protests across Italy today. The protesters were frustrated by the Bunga Bunga Partying One’s blatant and public disrespect for women, and many participants commented on turning a blind eye to human trafficking and appointing “whores” to government positions. Over 230 Italian cities and towns hosted their own protests, and women in 28 cities worldwide joined in, dancing in the streets to Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” and chanting anti-Berlusconi slogans.
