The interweb and teevee media have picked up on a social media-driven attempt to get Old Navy to stop charging more money for plus size clothing. You know it's serious when a Change.org petition starts to circle. And by "serious" I mean, "likely to peter out soon-ish."

I've always been a bit of a sex kitten. I ooze sexuality from every pore. And while I've had body image issues just like every other woman on the planet, I could ignore all of them when in sexy mode.

Women with $4,000 to spend on a designer dress who wear sizes 10-20: Saks Fifth Avenue will soon deign to accept your cash. In an unexpected move, the retailer will begin stocking plus-sized women's wear from many top designers.

"There's no evidence that physical appearances are the predominant hiring qualification," says American Apparel C.E.O. Dov Charney. "The emails that Gawker published don't reflect the hiring concept that we're pursuing. We're trying to hire people that are trustworthy."

American Apparel has recently come under scrutiny for alleged hiring discrimination with its "full body, head-to-toe" employment policy. Customers, apparently, are not exempt: this skirt is among many items it refuses to sell to any woman over a size 6.

The Washington Post's Robin Givhan takes issue with the calls for designers to feature more women of various sizes, from 2 to 20. Gabourey Sidibe's designer Kevan Hall illuminates the reason why many designers don't: they're egotistical and lazy.
