Suggestion: Both Iggy Azalea and T.I. Should Shut Up

Latest

Iggy Azalea has a bad habit of responding to every bit of criticism about her music. T.I. then responds to Iggy’s response to her critics. They should both just not.

A TMZ cameraman successfully harassed T.I. outside of a restaurant in Beverly Hills, posing a leading question about whether he thinks Iggy Azalea needs to react to the shady insults lobbed her way. The most recent comes from Eve and Jill Scott, who called out her blaccent (nothing new). Iggy later tweeted: “There’s a difference between being yourself and being your stereotype. When people I’ve never met say I should act more like ‘myself’ I feel like they’re really saying ‘act more like how I sterotype [sic] you to be, so I can feel comfortable.'”

What a mind fuck. In this short clip, T.I. offers a pro tip to his artist, something many have long suggested to Iggy: Never tweet. “I think she should focus on what got her here and that’s her music, her performing and continuing to just use her talents,” says T.I. “It’s just like asking Tom Brady if he should be commenting on DeflateGate. He should worry about the big game on Sunday, correct?”

Prescription: Both of you stop and get to a corner so we critics can live our lives. Iggy will be a thorn in our side for at least a year or so more. There are a few valid points hidden in her nonsensical tweets, but trying to explain away every minor critique of your “art” is a never-ending battle. Think about it some more, quietly. Take the Beyoncé approach and gracefully bow out of this discussion and take T.I. with you. Just a suggestion.
