It wasn’t too long ago that Leslie Jones was being harassed off Twitter by creeps who can’t stand to see her shine. Since then, she’s garnered the support and attention of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and is now helping another beleaguered super star: Gabby Douglas.

On Monday, Jones tweeted that she “just heard” Gabby was getting attacked by people on social media, likely referring to this latest bout of hate, since Douglas has been getting harassed about things like her hair style since winning gold in the 2012 Olympics (plus Jones is likely pretty distracted down in Rio):

She’s got Jack Dorsey on the case, but in the meantime the hashtag #LOVE4GABBYUSA has really taken off. This is my personal favorite tweet:

And it appears to have made a huge difference to Gabby Douglas, who has said of public criticism, “When they talk about my hair or me not putting my hand on my heart or me being very salty in the stands, they’re really criticizing me, and it doesn’t really feel good. It was a little bit hurtful.” It’s so nice when suddenly your mentions are a positive place to be:

More happy Twitter stories, please.
