It’s no surprise that when Joan Rivers gives fashion critique, she’s going to get nasty. And we know that Giuliana Rancic has an obsession with thinness. But nastiness and a fixation on the female figure are not a funny combination.

Though it was kind of pleasantly shocking that no one one E!’s Fashion Police panel—which included Joan, Giuliana, Jay Manuel, and Khloe Kardashian—made a “sagging” pun, given the red carpet event, it was super annoying to hear that it takes “guts” to wear a white dress if one is overweight, and that Patricia Arquette is “grande.”
